Population Statistics

Populations of Leatherback sea turtles in the Indo-pacific crashed by more than 90 percent in the 1980's and 1990's. There are estimated to be between 34,000 and 36,000 nesting females left worldwide (compared to 115,000 nesting females in 1980). They are critically endangered and are rapidly declining. Survived for more than a hundred million years.

Based on the graph i think the leatherbacks wont survive for much longer, even scientists agree and think that the leatherbacks will be extinct by 2025.
